We moved to Minnesota, and our first official week as Minnesotans has flown by!
Over the past week, beyond managing our everyday work, we’ve been trying our best to balance exploring our new area and getting settled into our new home.
- On Saturday, we went to the Saint Paul Farmers Market, had lunch at Foxy Falafel, and worked on a few projects around the house.
- On Sunday, we had coffee at Bootstrap Coffee Roasters and went to IKEA for curtains. (We may or may not have tried the plant-based meatballs at IKEA!)
Over the course of the week, we made a lot of progress; now, we’re fully unpacked and organized. I am really excited for the weekend ahead, when we can focus on the details like decorating — my favorite part of moving!
Overall, my favorite room in our new house is our upstairs loft where Ben’s office and our extra “living room” are. It’s a really cozy space, and because we’ve never had an upstairs before, it’s pretty fun! It’s the perfect places for movies and popcorn, because it feels like a little getaway, away from the rooms we are in so frequently.
I can’t wait to share more progress and more of Minnesota! (Visit my Minnesota Must-Dos as we discover our favorite places in Minnesota.) Until then, here are a few peeks of home so far:
Hiking has been a great escape from unpacking. Here, I’ve rounded up our favorite hikes in and around the Twin Cities in Minnesota.
Our bedroom is furnished and decorated. On the other hand, every other room is a total work in progress.
Pretty flowers from the farmers’ market!
