Each week, The Weekly Edit is a collection of what life has looked like lately. From motherhood moments to small shifts at home, to the routines, reflections, and little things I’ve been loving, it’s a simple way to document this season and share it with you.
A Week of Seasons
This week felt like a little bit of everything. We had the most beautiful, spring-like weather over the weekend. Sunshine, 60 degrees, fresh air… and then, just a few days later, a full blizzard rolled in. It truly felt like we lived through multiple seasons in one week. In a way, that’s how life has felt lately too. Full, fast, and always shifting.
Motherhood Moments I Want to Remember
During the 60-degree weather we had, we had an opportunity to visit our neighborhood playground a couple of times. Ollie absolutely loves slides. She is so bold and fearless — and always chooses the largest slide. She’s so brave, and her joy is contagious.
This week, she also tried the 2.5-year-old gymnastics class. For the past few weeks, we’ve spent her class time watching the 3-year-olds because she’s been so fascinated by them. So, her coach and I had a feeling she’d love moving up sooner than later. Luckily, her gymnastics gym offers a 2.5-year-old class to help 2-year-olds transition to the 3-year-old class more seamlessly. She was so excited to use all the equipment the 3-year-olds get to. I just can’t believe how she’s grown. We started gymnastics when she was just 18 months old, and now she’s a trampoline expert.
And then there was one moment I’ll cherish forever: After a full afternoon at the playground, we came home to our cozy fireplace, and within minutes, Ollie fell asleep on my chest. It was her first nap outside of her crib since she was a baby, and she was so peaceful. It felt like time paused. It reminded me that even though our routines work really well for us, it’s okay to leave room for moments like that… the unexpected, magical ones that end up meaning the most.
Small Shifts at Home
This week, I found myself craving simplicity in small, tangible ways. I cleaned out my closet, organized a few spaces, and we got a new cordless, lightweight vacuum that has already made such a difference. We mounted it in the laundry room right off the kitchen, and now it’s so easy to reset the space at the end of the day. Especially with how much we cook, having a quick way to clean up has made our evenings feel a little more peaceful. It’s one of those small changes that quietly improves everyday life.
Routines That Are Working
I walked a lot on my walking pad this week, usually with ankle weights, and it felt really good to move. It’s simple, but it helps me feel more like myself, especially in a season that feels full.
A Full Season
Lately, I feel happy, but also a little spread thin. It’s been a busy time, and most days feel like I’m moving between mom mode and work mode without much space in between. I’ve been craving a bit more balance and a bit more leisure, even if it’s just in small pockets.
One thing that has been helping is simplifying. I’ve always loved creating a home that feels calm and pared down, but right now I feel drawn to simplify even more. My closet, my desk drawer, the little everyday spaces. When life feels full mentally, I notice I naturally look for ways to create calm physically.
Little Things I’m Loving
A couple small favorites from this week:
This Counterglow Hyaluronic Moisture Mist has been such a refreshing addition to my routine. It feels light and simple in the best way.
And after a few too many late nights, I’ve definitely noticed my under-eye wrinkles a bit more than usual. The reality of balancing motherhood and business. I’m thinking about trying The Ordinary Argireline Solution and will share how it goes.
Celebrations and What’s Ahead
We hosted a small Valentine’s Day party for Ollie and our friends this week, and it was so much fun.

Ollie decorated these chocolate covered strawberries and was so proud:

Ollie loves holidays and decorations, and seeing everything through her eyes makes it all feel more meaningful. We’re already looking ahead to her birthday in June. For her 3rd birthday, she has requested a rainbow theme — and I’ve already designed the invitations. I can’t wait to bring it all to life and share more along the way. (I’m picturing rainbow balloon arches and cute cupcakes!)
We also booked our first family vacation. We’re heading to Walt Disney World this spring, and it will be our first trip since our babymoon in 2023. (!!!) We’ve been slowly telling Ollie about everything, and she is so excited. (In particular, she wants to meet Mickey and take pictures using her camera!) It feels so incredibly special to have something like this to look forward to together.
I’ll be sharing everything we’re packing soon. The list is already quite long, but it feels necessary for this season of life. (Like, how cute is this?)
What I’m Learning
This season is teaching me to simplify even more. To create space where I can, to support myself in small, tangible ways, and to stay open to the moments that don’t fit into a routine but end up meaning the most.
And maybe, to go to bed a little earlier too.
