I never would have predicted how much Mother’s Day would mean to me. This year is only my third official Mother’s Day, and they just keep getting sweeter.

One of my very favorite traditions we have built around this day is our annual family photo session with our photographer friend Lauren of Lauren Kirkbride Photography. Every year, Lauren takes our family photos — and we recreate the same photo, year after year. We have one from my pregnancy, one from Ollie’s first year, one from her second, and soon, her third. I cannot recommend this kind of tradition enough!

This year’s Mother’s Day feels especially sweet because Ollie understands what the day is about. We have plans she’s excited about: she wants to plant strawberries with me… and only strawberries. 🍓
