The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

Lifestyle

Back in August, I had the awesome opportunity to travel to Raleigh, North Carolina — and since our sabbatical and maternity leave at With Grace and Gold ended in August — I completely forgot to post about our trip! We traveled to Raleigh to speak at Creative at Heart, which is always such a huge honor. This time, we got to bring our husbands along, which made the trip so much more meaningful. It really meant a lot to see Ben’s smiling face in the audience while we were speaking.

While I didn’t snag any pictures of Raleigh itself, I did take a few photos of our beautiful Airbnb in Raleigh. It was located within walking distance of a lot of great shops and restaurants, and was such a great place to call ‘home’ in Raleigh.

Raleigh, North Carolina

A few of my favorites places in Raleigh were:

  • City Market Sushi — A really delicious and diverse sushi menu, a super cute aesthetic, and a great location in City Market.
  • Merrimon-Wynne House — This was the location of Creative at Heart, and it was beyond beautiful.
  • The Remedy Diner — Quintessential diner decor, and an amazing vegetarian and vegan menu. I had a “BLT” and it was so, so delicious!
  • 42 & Lawrence — This coffee shop in downtown Raleigh was an “experimental” coffee shop with lots of unique coffee drinks. It was a really cool experience and a fun atmosphere.

Visiting Raleigh was so, so much fun. It was a really inspiring trip because of Creative at Heart — and because of the quality time we got to spend together as a “With Grace and Gold Family.”
