Packing for Ames, Iowa
Wow! It has been such a whirlwind week! I just returned from Creative at Heart in Denver, Colorado – and with just four days until Ben and I leave for Europe, I wanted to share a peek at what our experience in Denver was like!
Andra and I arrived in Denver on Thursday. We arrived at Warwick Denver, our really beautiful hotel, in the afternoon. We had dinner together at WaterCourse Foods — a 100% vegan restaurant (!!!) — and planned to explore Denver on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, we did everything we do best when we’re together: we shopped, talked, and had lots of food. We explored the 16th Street Mall as well as Larimer Square. At Larimer Square, we had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Lauren Heim our friend and handletterer at With Grace and Gold — as well as her husband — in person! It was so much fun!
On Saturday, we walked to Union Station, which was recently remodeled — and is the only place I happened to use my camera! (Oops!) The architecture was so beautiful, so I snapped a few pictures of the beautiful gold details, and the flower shop within the train station:
Isn’t Union Station beautiful? It’s the perfect place to grab coffee, people-watch, or just spend an afternoon! Overall, visiting Denver was so much fun, and being part of Creative at Heart was a huge honor. Not only did I love sharing our experience in business with the attendees, but I also loved all of the learning and growing I experienced as a business owner, too!
Just a few more days until we are off to Europe to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary! (Our anniversary is tomorrow!) If you think of us, please pray for safe travels for us!0
