This summer, we’ve been super busy renovating, painting, and decorating our condo. In the midst of all the hard work, I’ve asked myself — why don’t we just move in someplace already finished? Then I remember our home on Harvest is all about the journey; we wanted to challenge ourselves to live small and give big — and it’s exciting to make a small space feel more and more like home. Plus, the more work we do — the bigger our home actually feels!
This weekend, we worked on decorating our master bedroom. A majority of our bedroom decor is black and white, because I really want our master bedroom to feel balanced — for both of us to love the decor. In the end, we knew we really needed to bring more color in so the space didn’t feel so cold!
We decided to decorate our room with photos I’ve taken on all of our trips and travels over the past few years. I traveled a lot for work last year, but I wanted to only include photos I took when Ben and I were together. That way, our room could tell a story of all of our shared experiences. So, Victoria, Canada, Munich, Germany, and Minneapolis, Minnesota are all featured in our photos. It is super exciting for me to see these photos come to life in print!
Here’s a peek at our master bedroom so far, which of course, is still in progress!
