The Weekly Edit: Better Skincare and a Really Cute Bunny Book

Welcome to The Weekly Edit — a weekly series where I share five things I’m genuinely loving, using, reading, and feeling inspired by lately. Think of this as a soft pause at the end of your week: thoughtful finds, small mindset shifts, and everyday favorites that make home, motherhood, and work feel a little more grounded.

Something I’m Loving at Home

Lately, I’ve been leaning into a slower, more intentional nighttime routine — one that feels less rushed and more like an investment in tomorrow.

I’ve been reaching for my NuFACE, along with a few skincare staples I’ve been loving: the retinol eye serum and retinol face serum from Typology, paired with my red light wand. None of it feels extreme or complicated — just small, consistent steps that signal it’s time to wind down.

This routine has become less about skincare results and more about rest. About slowing my body and nervous system before sleep. About doing something my future self will quietly thank me for, so I can show up a little more rested, present, and grounded the next day.

Something I’m Wearing

My Oura Ring has been something I’m genuinely grateful for lately.

I’ve been paying closer attention to my sleep, cycles, stress levels, and overall balance — not in a perfection-driven way, but in a curious, supportive one. It’s helped me notice patterns and give myself more grace on the days when rest needs to come first.

It feels less like tracking and more like learning how to work with my body instead of pushing through it.

Something I’m Reading / Watching / Listening To

Right now, our evenings are a mix of toddler favorites and slow, familiar routines.

We’ve been reading Bunnies on the Bus on repeat — it’s officially Ollie’s new favorite, and the kind of book that somehow stays charming even after the tenth read.

Ben and I are back to watching Chicago P.D. together now that it’s returned after its holiday break. It’s one of the few shows we both genuinely enjoy, which makes it feel like a small but meaningful shared ritual.

And while driving or during quiet moments, I’ve been listening to The New Happy Podcast. It’s thoughtful without being heavy, and I appreciate how it gently challenges mindsets that can keep you feeling stuck — without pushing constant “fixing.”

Something Worth Trying

This week’s small shift has been trusting that everything will get done.

I’ve been experimenting with moving a bit slower, loosening my grip on urgency, and reminding myself that the work I’ve done — and continue to do — compounds over time. That not everything needs to be rushed for it to matter.

It’s been a quiet practice in trust. Trusting my systems. Trusting my past effort. Trusting that rest and progress can coexist.

Something Inspiring Me

This idea has been sitting with me lately:

“You don’t have to push to be moving forward. Sometimes steadiness is progress.”

It feels especially fitting during this in-between season — when the sun starts shining again, spring feels close, and life begins to soften just a little. A reminder that growth doesn’t always need to be loud to be meaningful.

Each Weekly Edit is simply a snapshot of what’s resonating in my life right now — from motherhood and home to rest, routines, and mindset. My hope is that this space feels like something you return to for thoughtful recommendations and gentle encouragement. A new edit will be here each week, always rooted in real life.
