We're Ben and Kelly Zugay, and we're on a mission to live small and give big!  Since 2015, we've been on a renovating and decorating our well-loved 800 square foot condo — our home on Harvest!

When we're not biking, hiking, kayaking, and enjoying beautiful western Wisconsin, Ben is a a university-level entrepreneurship educator and I'm a small business owner.

Welcome! We're Ben and Kelly!

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

Lifestyle

This year, Ben and I celebrated our 10th anniversary — 10 years of holidays, birthdays, and celebrations of all kinds. The holiday season is our absolute favorite season, because over the years, we’ve not only experienced Zugay family traditions, but we’ve also been able to create traditions of our own.

Our Home on Harvest - Ben and Kelly Zugay

3 of Our Holiday Season Traditions

  1. We absolutely love attending It’s a Wonderful Life at the Saint Paul Hotel. Ben loves podcasts and radio shows so much, so when I learned about this “live radio show” I knew we had to go. The Saint Paul Hotel is really beautiful, with so many ornate details. It’s such a cool experience! (We’ve gone every year since we were married – except this one, because of Ben’s busy school schedule.)
  2. Before Christmas, we travel to Chicago for a weekend of all-things holiday season. We love staying at the Hyatt Place Chicago River North, because River North is a really cute, fun area — and when it comes to reaching all of the must-sees in Chicago it’s really walkable! It’s really awesome to have a distraction-free weekend in such a magical city.
  3. One more tradition we have — which is kind of many traditions in one — is to spend one whole day decorating our house for Christmas. We watch Charlie Brown, White Christmas, and all of the classic Christmas movies. (And, we take turns hiding this silly ornament in our tree — in honor of this tradition!) It’s so nice to have a full day set aside for the small Christmas traditions we call our own.

It really is the most magical time of year, and I’m so excited for these traditions to be underway!
