Birchbox is the one and only subscription service I have ever tried. Our Wisconsin winters are long and harsh, so I ordered the subscription as a pick-me-up to survive the cold and dreary weather — and I haven’t looked back!
If you’re unfamiliar with Birchbox, it is a once per month $10 subscription box, filled with beauty product samples. When you sign up, you’ll complete a brief survey to make sure you’re getting products you’d be interested in buying. When I filled out my survey, I mentioned being interested in organic and natural products, so I’ve received a lot of really great products — from facial scrubs to an all-natural nail polish remover. Using your online profile, you can take a peek at the products you will be receiving — or have received — and buy full-sized products, too!
Lately, Birchbox has been partnering with other great brands and businesses — like Cupcakes and Cashmere and Rifle Paper Co. — so every box I’ve received has been really beautiful and thoughtfully curated.
At the event, you could:
- Create your own Birchbox, by filling a box with a variety of beauty products.
- Purchase a complete Birchbox from a previous month.
- Sample beauty products.
- Buy full-sized beauty products.
- Get a free manicure!
- Visit the donut bar. (Donuts have been a theme this weekend!)
- Take a selfie with a selfie stick to win $500 toward Birchbox products.
I sampled Stila Lip Color — which, as you can see, was really bold! It really did last all day — through the 90 degree weather, through a couple of bottles of water, and through a two-hour train ride back to Wisconsin! I had never worn a matte lip color like this one, but I loved it! I also sampled Sea Salt Styling Spray (Similar Here) which was a fun way to make my post-braided hair look perfectly [purposely] messy!
I really love that Birchbox offered so many samples, because it really helps to know what a product looks like, feels like, or smells like before purchasing.
*This is not a sponsored post; I really did have the best time stopping by the Birchbox Pop-Up!
